As one of the region’s leading independent builder’s merchants Coastal Building Supplies is a popular name within the construction sector, delivering building materials and supplies from sand and timber to bricks and blocks to both trade and private individual customers.
Whilst Coastal Building Supplies has been trading since 2009, owner and founder James Peck’s working partnership with Tip N Lift extends well beyond this during previous roles he has held withing the construction materials industry. So, when the time came to set up the new business, they were the obvious choice to build his delivery fleet.
Tip N Lift supply Coastal Building Supplies with a full end to end vehicle solution where a Mercedes lorry purchased by Coastal undergoes a full body fit-out and crane installation to meet the specification needed to deliver safely, on-time and efficiently. At the heart of the specification is the need for long-term performance. James and the team at Tip N Lift have worked meticulously over the years to fine tune the specification with ongoing improvements so they are now at the point that whether it’s a new 7.5-tonne or 26-tonne vehicle, the build and order process is straightforward and quick.
When asked what sets Tip N Lift apart, James was quick to reference that they help with the biggest headache his business could potentially face – vehicles off the road. Any downtime can have major cost and brand reputation issues as well as knock on impacts later in the delivery schedule. By constantly refining the specification of the crane which includes getting feedback from the users of the cranes, downtime can be kept to an absolute minimum; however, should help be required it’s always on hand – either on site or at the Tip N Lift workshops based very close to Coastal’s three depots.
